The service of Nine Lessons and Carols is an historic service used during the seasons of both Advent and Christmas, in which we meditate upon and give worship to Almighty God through readings from Holy Scripture and carols of praise and thanksgiving for His coming. The Scripture lessons take the worshiper through the full history of our salvation from Genesis to the Gospels, and the carols give us an opportunity to respond to the goodness of God in praise.
